NC lowered a bit on Tein springs, some sort of rear suspension stiffening, and that's it. Manual of course. I only stalled it once I swear. And now, I understand how they drive. They really are little go karts aren't they?
It's dat silver one on the left

No, they're like big go carts... or little cars.

Now go find an NB or NA to drive and be amazed. The NC was softened up a bit when it was released but it still is a good handling car, the NA and NB are both lighter and more nimble but lack power. It truly is amazing how much fun the Miata really is to drive.

Yeah I should do that. I didn't really get to drive this one much though, just around the parking lot a bit.

Super jealous. I'd love to have one of these but their small size makes them "unsafe" according to the parentals. I could pick up an NA for ~$4000 in serviceable condition with a manual and softtop, and it kills me that I can't.

That's why I couldn't get one too! Sads.

If it didn't have apex seal failure problems I could probably sell them on an RX-8, though the "requires premium fuel" hurdle would be a tough sell. Bah.

There actually was an RX-8 with us tonight lol. I didn't drive it though. My car requires premium and gets bleh gas mileage. Yeah cash down the drain!

I've been hypermiling lately, I do about 80% city driving and I'm managing to get 25mpg over the usual 20mpg. Bleh. I can understand how hypermiling is fun for some people but I'm in a car with torque, and I need to feel it rocking the car back on its 14-year-old air suspension as I glide forward in a cloud of exhaust fumes and front-tire smoke from every other stop light.
Not doing that is just depressing.

Heck, I am a parental and I'm rocking an NA without a roll bar, for now. It's on my list though, really.

Exactly. But there's much more to it when you own one. I'll explain everything in a review in about 1-3 months.
